D3EA logo

Greening Testing Laboratories is the only lab in the world to conduct D3EA® testing (Dual Dynamometer Differential Effectiveness Analysis). D3EA® certification meets the highest standard for brake pads, shoes, rotors, and drums resulting in greater customer satisfaction and confidence. D3EA® takes the guess-work out of defining/determining the proper combination of front and rear brake compounds, which ultimately impacts vehicle handling and stopping distance performance.

Greening also provides AMECA Certified Safety Equipment test reports on Brake Linings, Synthetic Webbing and Load Binders, and Trailer Hitches.

GREENING ASSISTS MICHIGAN STATE POLICE IN REPLACEMENT BRAKE PAD EVALUATION PROJECT

The National Institute for Justice (NIJ) National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center (NLECTC) and the Michigan State Police - Precision Driving Unit (MSP) recently concluded their study of replacement market brake pads intended for police patrol vehicles. Testing included pre-screening of candidate materials in Greening's dynamometer test laboratory, followed by evaluations in instrumented patrol vehicles by specially trained MSP drivers at the Chrysler Proving Grounds (Chelsea, MI) and Grattan Raceway in Grattan, MI. Grand Rapids (MI) television station WZZM-13 was on hand at Grattan to film some of the testing and interview Lt. Keith Wilson, commander of the Precision Driving Unit (2010 NIJ-MSP Replacement Brake Pad Performance Evaluation video). The final test report will be released in late September, 2010, and copies are expected to be available on-line through the NIJ website. Greening is pleased to be included in support of an initiative so important to the law enforcement community. Other details about the program can be found on the Justice Information Technology Network website.
