SAE No. 2 Universal Wet Friction Material Test Machine

The Greening Model 108 SAE No. 2 Universal Wet Friction Test Machine is a highly versatile unit. This machine is used in more test facilities around the world than any other machine of its kind. Special test heads are available for testing transmissions, automatic transmission clutches, bands, or lock-up torque converter clutches, manual shift gearbox synchronizer rings, and counter-rotating clutch plate assemblies. The machine can also be configured to accept DKA, Caterpillar TO-4, ZF and other special test configurations.

Testing for friction coefficients during dynamic and static tests, transmission fluid friction retention characteristics, continuous slip high torque/low speed friction coefficients from less than 1 rpm to 300 rpm, and life tests on friction materials and fluids are also possible with the proper options.

Automatic test machine operation utilizing specially designed control circuitry and software
