Established in 1970 as an outgrowth of building special test machines, Greening Testing Laboratories, Inc. was the first independent brake and friction material test facility in the U.S. Over the last 30 years we have been innovators in the areas of test development, data analysis, and methodologies for the transportation industries. As we expand into the area of transmissions and clutches, GTL continues to push the technology envelope, simulating "in service" environments in the laboratory. We are committed to continuous improvement by re-investing and updating our facilities, enabling us to provide our clients the most accurate and cost effective services available.

GTL is active in or accredited by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), the Automotive Manufacturers Equipment Compliance Agency (AMECA), and the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA). We are ISO 17025, the ISO GUIDE 25 replacement, Laboratory Accredited with the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).
