Since our beginning in 1965, Greening has provided high quality research and development test equipment and services to the self-propelled mobility industries. With clients in the automotive, commercial vehicle, rail, aircraft, marine, and industrial equipment sectors, we have a unique viewpoint that helps us develop more advanced test systems and procedures, which in turn benefit our global customer base. Additionally, Greening's involvement in SAE, ISO, ASTM, and other professional societies allows us to lend our experience in shaping and developing international testing standards and test machines.

GREENING ASSOCIATES, INC. (GAI) test equipment offerings span a wide range of vehicle systems and components - from large, off-highway mining trucks to motorcycles, from brakes and automatic transmissions to seat and suspension test systems and fixtures. Our staff of system engineers (some with individual engineering experience of 50 years) allows us to draw on a wealth of practical application knowledge when designing test equipment used in evaluating critical vehicle safety and driveline hardware and assemblies. Computer based data acquisition and sequence control systems allow completely automatic operation of our test machines, including acquisition of test data for further analysis and automatic test report generation.

GREENING TESTING LABORATORIES, INC. (GTL) was the first independent brake and friction material test laboratory in the western hemisphere. Starting with brake lining sample testing in 1966, our brake test facilities have grown to include on and off-highway automobile and truck brake assembly testing (performance, durability, NVH), friction materials certification, caliper fatigue, and ABS and caliper vibration resistance evaluations, to name but a few. GTL's services also include driveline testing such as transmission fluid qualification, performance, fatigue, and spin/burst testing of dry clutch components and assemblies, and wheel radial fatigue/cornering fatigue. With our "in house" design and build capability, we have a unique opportunity to constantly improve testing methods and equipment.
Our D3EA® Brake Lining Certification Program is an example of the commitment Greening makes to provide services that reach beyond the ordinary. This unique certification service provides manufacturers and vendors of passenger vehicle brake friction materials and rotors/drums the opportunity to evaluate their products in a vehicle specific context, and the ability to measure their performance against federally mandated requirements for new motor vehicles.
GTL is active in or accredited by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), the Automotive Manufacturers Equipment Compliance Agency (AMECA), and the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA). We are an ISO 17025 accredited test facility by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).
GTL continues to push the technology envelope, simulating "in service" environments in the laboratory. We are committed to continuous improvement by re-investing and updating our facilities, enabling us to provide our clients the most accurate and cost effective services available.
