Model 1610
This machine is useful as a screening test machine when developing clutch disk friction material or for quality control checking of incoming clutch disks.
Tapered rollers, which match the width of the friction material, load one surface
of a friction clutch disk in automatic transmission fluid. the roller is driven by a
variable speed motor and rotates against the friction material surface. the normal
load is created by an air actuator with strain gage load cell supporting the clutch
friction disk table which raises to meet the rotating roller assembly. A detector
system senses the failure of the friction surface.
