Model 2300
The Greening Model 2300 Automobile Brake Pad Shear Test Machine is designed to evaluate the friction lining to carrier (backing plate) attachment strength through the measurement of the force required to shear the friction lining from the carrier. The Model 2300 combines concise test control with ease of operation, generating robust and reproducible test results, and is an ideal instrument for research and development, quality control or other shear strength measurement needs for passenger car and medium truck disc brake pads.
This machine is designed to perform the SAE J840 Test Procedure, ISO 6312, and other
similar types of brake pad shear tests. A force normal to the shear force
direction is applied in a manner that does not interfere with the
measured shear force. Fixtures are utilized to match the brake pad outer radius
at the point of contact.
The control and data acquisition utilizes Greening's Dyna_Works™, a Microsoft® Windows® based operating system
with application specific software. The test results can be summarized by the user in custom defined formats or
presented in generally accepted test reporting templates supplied with the machine. ·
